Stalin was brutal but competent. The USSR's industrialization under him was pretty amazing and probably one of the biggest reasons they could resist the Nazis

Mao was brutal and incompetent. He killed millions of people in his attempts to industrialize, just like Stalin did, but unlike Stalin, he got nowhere with it

At least Stalin had something to show for all the human suffering he inflicted

85

u/the_real_JFK_killer Dec 01 '22

62

u/Greenman_on_LSD Dec 01 '22

I can see this getting bad, quickly. He probably just ostracized himself from any other public platforms, including the alt rights. With his narcissism, him freaking out in private is probably worse than in public. People will abandon him and he won't have a voice to cry out like he has been. Not going to end well

29

u/the_real_JFK_killer Dec 01 '22

If it were anyone else I'd agree, but the man is worth 400 million. With 2 billion more in assets frozen, that he'll likely get back at some point. The man can pull a Donald Trump and just make his own platform. Also wdym by not going to end well, do you think he's gonna become violent/suicidal?

64

u/ghtuy Dec 01 '22

do you think he's gonna become violent/suicidal?

He very well could at some point, and he is at higher risk of these things than most people due to his condition. Regardless of what one's opinion of him is, it's a tragedy when any person feels so hopeless that they resort to harming themselves or others.

35

u/KeyanReid Dec 01 '22

Gonna be real, if I see any headline that says “Hitler loving man dead by suicide” I have a real hard time feeling the tragedy.

7

u/ghtuy Dec 02 '22

You don't have to feel remorse for him if you don't want to (in this morbid hypothetical), but I hope you can have enough empathy to regret that another human's situation would end up that way (in this morbid hypothetical). I don't like him either, but he's still a person.

12

u/The_Woman_of_Gont Dec 02 '22

Honestly the point at which you start advocating for Nazis, I don't give a shit about your life.

I'd hope people in his life are not evil enough to support him in these views, and care about him enough to get him the help he clearly needs. But he's not owed my personal sympathy or empathy, he lost that as soon as he began advocating for an ideology that would see me dead and which has killed millions.

If he dies before he changes his views, I'll not feel particularly bad about one less Nazi in the world and I'm tired of having to pretend like I should.

They are kind and extremely empathetic, they are intelligent, they are possibly creative (they can kind of paint and make crude tools, IIRC), they are social creatures that do what is best for the herd, and they are strong and powerful when they need to be. They know what's it's like to be persecuted just for how they look (poachers, because tusks), and will therefore work hard for the most disenfranchised among us. Also, they're charismatic, can project while public speaking (but no flash photography pls), they're family-oriented, and they're cute AF.

Elephants are working class heroes.

Chris Pratt is just garbage enough without being overkill, I think? You also have the added joke of him getting literally every role for some reason, you could even follow up with a limp, noncommittal "wahoo"

12

u/ImMyOwnDoctor Dec 01 '22

What he do?

41

u/FuckingKilljoy Dec 02 '22

As far as I know his biggest thing was donating to an anti-LGBTQ+ church, as well as being generally kinda cringe and being a mediocre at best actor. He suffers from Will Smith Syndrome where he can only ever play himself, but he isn't even close to being as cool as 90s Will was

35

u/4DozenSalamanders Dec 02 '22

This, but he also compared being divorced to being gay, and said his church wouldn't be homophobic because they didn't excommunicate him for getting a divorce, lmao. Hillsong Church, is in fact homophobic and does not support gay marriage or as they call it, the "gay lifestyle" and they do have a history of referring members to conversion therapy, and gay members aren't allowed to have any leadership position, as it would be a "bad influence" to other members. Chris Pratt distanced himself and now claims he never went to Hillsong and instead goes to Zoe Church, but this church is basically the Walmart version of Hillsong and has the same policies, and is basically just another branch (Now the gays are "sexual brokenness" so you know, at least it's creative and something new)

He also posts a lot of "middle-aged Christian dad" sort of vibes, which really doesn't help matters; namely the cross thing and the "don't tread on me shirt" come to mind, but there's also a weird abundance of "wife incompetent" humor, which alone doesn't mean anything too problematic, but it's just the culmination of everything, especially with the context of how Christian politics have been poisoning the US as of late.

20

u/NowATL Dec 02 '22

Don’t forget how he was posting about how proud he was of his new wife giving birth to a healthy kid, which on its own isn’t bad, until you remember that he and Anna Farris have a disabled child who he has basically been ignoring for years…

yeah, which is surreal, because neo-nazis don't want him to be president (they're fine with him being "one of the good ones" I'm sure, but not president).

and people who hate nazis don't want him to be president, especially now.

so it only leaves people who aren't neo nazis but tolerate neo nazis, basically a small subset of particularly nutty hard core libertarians.

35

u/LoveFishSticks Dec 01 '22

I feel like the only libertarians that tolerate Nazis are actually Nazis/racists and just dont want to have any consequences for their actions, on account of the whole authoritarian fascism thing

9

u/Roflkopt3r Dec 02 '22 edited Dec 02 '22

Libertarian groups tend to be full of people who just want a more presentable facade for their belief that "undesirables" have to be kept in extreme econonomic dependence and vulnerability to discrimination... Social Darwinists who are ready to switch to a seemingly polar opposite authoritarian approach at the flip of a dime.

Their protests to this description is not entirely hypocritical. They often don't even realise it, because this mentality is very easy to disguise with perspectives like "nobody is entitled to other peoples' labour", "people have to learn self-responsibility" etc. Nonetheless, that's the brutal reality it comes down to.

Neither you nor I have the time to read every single news article written in a single day, let alone a week or a year. So yes, the grand majority of news for most people will be a headline that hopefully gets the main point across.

Critical thought? You mean reading the article to see for yourself, something which you obviously hadn't done or else you wouldn't think it was dubious because it's just as blatant at this. In fact, it was more antisemetic than this. So it's pretty funny you use the term critical thought when for you it involves not reading the article or consuming any further information, just deciding whether it's true based on your apparent belief that Jews like to hide behind the term antisemetism and use it to deflect from criticism.

I mean he’s always been kind of an obnoxious self-aggrandizing dickhead but in a mostly benign way that made sense for a celebrity trying to build clout, and he never really broke with reality. But how he got from ‘Bush doesn’t care about black people’ to ‘White lives matter’ and the Black Israelite Nazi combo is alarming. It’s far beyond a PR stunt or ‘normal’ toxic behavior. It’s destructive, but mostly it’s delusional and contradictory, and even asshole extraordinaire Alex Jones is taken aback. The suddenness of his radical change in beliefs is also coinciding with major shakeups in his personal life. TLDR it’s probably both.

I've never seen someone so crazy that he made Alex Jones mutter under his breath like he's the most sane one in the room.

73

u/RUKitttenMe Dec 01 '22

I’ve never watched infowars before but I would bet good money no one else has talked to a butterfly net before

26

u/Cookietsha Dec 01 '22

Hahaha I told my boyfriend he must’ve sent an intern to a pet store because it looked like an aquarium net! 😂

9

u/kalamataCrunch Dec 02 '22 edited Dec 02 '22

tbf alex jones just lost 1.4 billion dollars to a lawsuit for saying bat shit crazy stuff, so they're probably a little gun shy.

u/PickCollins0330 Dec 01 '22

It’s honestly staggering how Britney Spears gets put under conservatorship but after all this Kanye still hasn’t

53

u/BangPowBoom Dec 02 '22

He's a man. Patriacrchy don't play like that. Also, nobody out there will take responsibility for him.

Who would put him under one? His parents are dead. His manager couldn’t force him into one. He quite clearly doesn’t have anybody to hold him accountable.

I start to believe that Kanye, Elon and Trump are AI, and AI stands here for Artificial Idiots.

When you think he already said the worst things, he top it every time.

29

u/Yhendrix49 Dec 01 '22

Elon and Musk?

19

u/DayAndNight0nReddit Dec 01 '22 edited Dec 01 '22

oops, I meant to write Trump lol. Thx for noticing it.

Corrected.

“Look, we need to talk about mental health and not attack a clearly very sick man” blah blah blah bootlick.

If the public didn’t like a catchy tune and drama more than their morals and beliefs, he would’ve been pushed from the public eye years ago.

People want to see his art and want to see the drama.

And yet he still doesn't get the fishsticks joke

18

u/GingerToucher Dec 02 '22

What is he? A gay fish?

17

u/deathjoe4 Dec 02 '22

My favorite thing is that this is literally true and he mentioned it relatively recently.

If he honestly doesnt get it, I can't even make fun of him. He has to have some psychological issue that makes it impossible. At this point I feel bad for him :(

Nazis aren't cool. who thinks this way?

49

u/Background-Bid5803 Dec 01 '22

Kanye obviously

32

u/SilentRidge Dec 02 '22

He's been hanging out with Nick Fuentes who is an actual neo-nazi. West may think he's a genius, but he seems to absorb and mimic the beliefs of whoever he is hanging out with. Trump, Candace Owens, etc. If he was currently being surrounded by old school Communists he would be praising Stalin in this clip.

Where can you even go from this point? Saying slavery was good? I’m astounded

48

u/fistymcbuttpuncher Dec 01 '22

Didn't he do that years ago? Ye already crossed that bridge and set it on fire.

38

u/Life-Island Dec 02 '22

Well technically he said slavery was a choice...... Which may be worse then saying it was good. At about 1:12. https://youtu.be/s_M4LkYra5k

He didn't just stop at saying that, he also said "I don't want people dissing Hitler" or something to that effect.

Alex Jones, the man who just lost several lawsuits for purposefully spreading miss information about sandy hook for profit, has better morales than Kanye West.

“I like hitler. I love jews, but i also love nazis” -Kanye “Well i’ll have to disagree with that” -alex jones

23

u/MateOfArt Dec 01 '22

Have Kanye ever seen a history book? Or a mirror?

41

u/New-Actuary-6731 Dec 01 '22

Kanye has bragged about literally never having read a book.

Kanye: "I love Jewish people, and I love nazis!"

Alex jones: " well I disagree with that"

Never thought I'd see the day

19

u/Le_Pigg40 Dec 02 '22

I don’t like how people are overusing the word nazi nowadays to describe everyone they dislike but yeah, Ye is an actual Nazi. Whether it’s because he’s mentally ill or genuinely one doesn’t matter, because he’s a rich guy with a lot of influence and a big platform to spread that shit.

16

u/SensualEnema Dec 01 '22

“Haha! Oh wow! Well, I gotta disagree with that” - Alex Jones.

Ladies and gentlemen, what is going on

10

u/JCdaLeg3nd Dec 01 '22

A bunch of us said that when we were 14.

Oh wait he’s a fully grown man at the age of 45.

10

u/highgrvity Dec 02 '22

It's not even out of context lol dude just nuking himself.

8

u/marwin133 Dec 02 '22

Why would you misrepresent and twist his words? He said "I love Hitler", get it right.

8

u/CherryChocolate928 Dec 01 '22 edited Dec 02 '22

Accurate.

He’s been gone since he said slavery was a choice.
