Imagine if that was the headline on tv. Skinny victim

u/Formal_Rice3817 Sep 01 '22

Lol then 6 o'clock news..body shaming..you make headlines

217

u/infidel11990 Sep 01 '22

Making fun of skinny people is somehow accepted. But making fun of obese folks is a no no these days. Weird times we live in.

25

u/fumphdik Sep 01 '22

My new phew called me fat, he also said not like daddy fat. Anyways now I feel like I’m too fat and too skinny. Roast me.

32

u/DSmoothGaming Sep 01 '22

The gym is waiting for you my man. I was fat but not anymore. The gym bros will welcome you 🙏

7

u/depressedfuckboi Sep 01 '22

With open arms too. Gym changed my life. Used to be a skinny fat boi then just fat now I'm in decent shape.

As someone who is really unable to gain much weight at all, I can attest that this is very true. I usually get some remarks about it, just skinny and tall so I usually get called a tree looking motherfucker.

Edit: I forgot my assistant manager calling me noodle arms despite me being able to lift pallets better than he can

4

u/CherryHaterade Sep 01 '22 edited Sep 01 '22

As a fat dude, it's mostly bigger women getting their shine time presently. I'm not mad as much as jealous, but Kevin James, James Avery, (Carl winslow....damn fat black dudes especially been out boxing their real world weight class for more than half my life now) already got a TV show with a hot wife so I'ma just sit down...over...here somewhere. Maybe Lizzo gets a TV show. Please bring back Laura Winslow as one of the BFFs. I'd watch that.

Anyway the point I guess I was trying to make is that there's a lot more historical balance with fat dudes whereas with fat women especially it feels like things are balancing out a bit with "seen as sexy" Yeah some hate, some love too, and there's a voice for both sides out there now.

All body types can be funny if you're willing to laugh at all of them sometimes. Laughing at your own body is always the hardest. And it can be hard out there sometimes to find something that isn't just like, a fetish, or a secret for everyone out there. So more power to them.

It's easier to laugh at skinny because skinny has also been seen as sexy in the pendulum swing of modern memory. Kate Moss, Keira Knightley, Jessica Alba types we're super in 90s to early 00s. Ally McBeal. Which I'm learning is very much the "present focus" timeline. Here we are in 2022 and it's all about what I call the strip club ass.

8th Ave is an absolute shit show from 32nd to 48th street. Between the methadone clinic, port authority and penn strain it gets sketchy.

5

u/letsgotgoing Sep 01 '22

I lived at 8th and 46th for a couple of years even during Covid lockdowns. The tourists flocked to that area during normal times with a wall of people on the sidewalks. It wasn’t a shit show otherwise though. During Covid it was eerily empty.

Between 10th Ave and 8th from ~24th to ~29th is a complete toss up on what you’ll run into. Families out with their kids, attempted muggings, etc.

16

u/bruuhmoment_ Sep 01 '22

I think this is the first time the words Chelsea and ghetto have been put together lmao. If you think what you see in Chelsea is crazy I would love to see your reaction to things that happen in other parts of the city

11

u/wolfblitzen84 Sep 01 '22 edited Sep 01 '22

I live in Flatbush so I know what a shitty area is as well. I’m telling you to go over by 21sr and 8th it’s super sketchy With a ton of meth addicted sex workers that have attacked people at my job twice and Caused a disturbance countless times.

Chelsea ghetto. You know that when Chelsea literally got a health clinic right there. I knew that sh** was a facade(looking like a rich area but it’s literally the ghetto) when I went to the clinic.

2

u/shadstatic Sep 01 '22

Chelsea isn’t ghetto lol that’s just NYC right now. Once Google set up shop down the real estate prices went up, but gentrification just isn’t happening cleanly in that area, because there’s still stuff that attract folks with serious mental health and drug addiction issues. In a big city just because rent goes up doesn’t mean homeless people magically disappear.

Technically that isn’t a dirt bike. It’s a Kawasaki KLX250 or 300 which is a dual sport street bike… it looks like it has a factory pipe on it too, which is super quiet.

EDIT- Sooooo , I’m getting downvotes because I pointed out that this bike doesn’t sound like a dirt bike? 🤷‍♂️

8

u/AttarCowboy Sep 01 '22

“Second world” doesn’t mean what you think it does.

2

u/Plane_Baby Sep 01 '22

Someone left a decent definition. I quickly googled the definition to make the comment. However, after a tad bit of dig, I see your point. Although to my minimal defense, the term has seemed to changed in modern times after the end of the cold war. However, thanks for pointing that out. I actually went to learn something. lol

31

u/brooklynbotz Sep 01 '22 edited Sep 01 '22

Second world refers to communist countries. I know we've just started using third world to mean "poor" but it's not a ranking system.

100% agree dude, like no shit the criminals still have guns, like wow there not following the law? 🤯🤯

But seriously there’s a lot of pissed off New Yorkers and Aussies, but either way I’m not gonna give up my best form of protection and rely on the police. Recent history has shown that when seconds matter, police are minutes away. I don’t give a crap what someone from a country that hasn’t had guns for more than 20 years thinks. Even if guns were outright banned it would just open another business opportunity for the Cartel. There’s always gonna be guns here, and I don’t want to be the only person without one.

Thanks for listening to my rant, random stranger

12

u/Grahamj1031 Sep 01 '22

In 2021, there were approximately 500k crimes committed with firearms in the US. During that same period, there were 1.5 Million instances where a gun was used in self-defense. I prefer to not to be a victim and just one more reason why I moved to the mountains.

4

u/maxamil432 Sep 01 '22

Anyone who upvotes this has a skewed idea of how "dangerous" New York City really is. It's actually one of the safest major cities out there.

6

u/Fluffy-Impression190 Sep 01 '22

Most major cities aren’t what they were just 3 years ago.

-7

u/HamburgHambone Sep 01 '22

New York seems like it, it’s horrible there.

It's by far one of the safest cities in the US. It's not even close. All the most dangerous cities are in red states. I'm not kidding.

11

u/maxamil432 Sep 01 '22

Sucks you are getting down voted. You are absoltely correct. It is all red states that have the highest violent crime and drug problems. Mississippi, Alabama, Kentucky, Missouri, Louisiana, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Arkansas. All Red states that are in the top 10 highest murder rates in the country.

4

u/HamburgHambone Sep 01 '22

Sucks you are getting down voted.

This sub is full of racist, far right losers that are scared of reality. I honestly think it's fun to shut them the fuck up and watch them all silently downvote because they have no response, so it's whatever.

6

u/PotatoGuerilla Sep 01 '22

This just isn't true. Baltimore. Chicago. Washington DC. All top tier dangerous cities in securely Dem states/regions. Sure you have St Louis, Houston, many others in red states. There may even be more dangerous large cities in red states, but that's not what makes them special. It's gangs and drugs, and large amounts of public housing. I remember seeing a stat that 80% of all homicides in the US are gang and drug related, and those things aren't exclusive to either political party.

6

u/maxamil432 Sep 01 '22

You are absolutely wrong. You are just naming major cities. The top 10 states with the highest murder rates are all red states except 2 and those states are Georgia and New Mexico.

Typical Redditor spewing out random garbage like it's fact.

Luckily I came with receipts.

The first place they should look is wherever he was when he bought whatever is in that white plastic bag, usually the crims wouldn't be able to find someone after more than a few minutes, especially in busy new york, one of the workers at that shop probably just ran out the back and followed him.

Imagine you get robbed and the asshole who puts the video up of your victimization is gonna focus on your insecurities about your body

Something is weird about the second motorcycle. Those underbone type of bikes aren’t sold here in the US. They are typically found in Asia or South America. It looks to be a Yamaha or Honda, but how did it get here?

Wow NYC it's official. You're the blue ribbon shit hole of, at the least, the Northeast United States.

u/alexgalt Sep 01 '22

In the northeast, Philly probably beats nyc per capita.

Point to NY for me.

Here are the 10 states with the highest murder rate: Mississippi - 20.50 per 100k. Louisiana - 19.90 per 100k. Alabama - 14.20 per 100k. Missouri - 14 per 100k. Arkansas - 13 per 100k. South Carolina - 12.70 per 100k. Tennessee - 11.50 per 100k. Maryland - 11.40 per 100k.

What are the Most Dangerous States? Mississippi. Mississippi's total score is 32.00, making it the most dangerous state in the United States. ... Louisiana. ... Florida. ... Arkansas. ... Texas. ... Oklahoma. ... Missouri. ... Alabama.

Mississippi is also the fattest, least educated, and poorest state in the country. Just a complete mess from top to bottom.

They have succeeded in the war against us - notice how nobody stops to help, everyone skips around the offenders through fear. Everyone is scared these days and the punishments for these (if they get caught) are poor at best.

Liberal city. Criminals run free with progressive policies like bail reform and soft on crime bullshit. Shit would not fly in florida.

No Good Samaritans to help one another

Does some one see the patterns playing out?

At least in Texas you can have guns to prevent this type of thing.

4

u/deefuck Sep 01 '22

Good samaritans in nyc isn’t typically a thing for crime like this. People keep to themselves all too often bc there are so many scammers out there
