Scene from "Partisans" ballet by İgor mayseev ballet troupe. The smoothness is done by dance technique alone. Video

I think he’s got a hover board

that was my thought as well. at the end, it looks like he bends over and picks up something - which he then hides under his costume as he runs offstage

My kid does this exact same thing at home in the living room with her hover board!😂 It even looks like he bends over and grabs his before running off stage.

The spotlights in that one help to show that there's no wires holding them up.

Looks like an e-scooter to me?
There are dancers who do the smooth walk/float effect but they can't move that fast!

This is very impressive, but I can't help but feeling like it doesn't look impressive. The thing that makes this so impressive is the technique and especially the "wow how are the doing that" aspect, but I can imagine a hundred ways they could be easily doing that using modern technology. So the fact that we can't see what's happening under their cloak, while at one time in history made the whole thing, actually feels like it kind of diminishes the performance in a modern setting. Fascinating!

If you check out their Instagram, they often post clips of their rehearsals. It’s all about their incredibly precise technique and flawless timing.

I remember a lot of discussions about Bruce Lee that frames were taken out of the film to make his movements faster. And his reply was Why take the frames out when you just can do it fast enough?
Same thing with Igor’s Moiseev dance group - just google and see how incredible they are.

I'm waiting for a similar trick from a magician. Two dismembered beauties on roller skates are hidden in inside pockets.

This is my absolute favorite ballet company in the entire world. They are world famous for their interpretations of Russian cultural dance and dances from other places in the world. I would absolutely love to see them perform. Check out their stuff on YouTube. Night on Bald Mountain is incredible.

At the end it looks like there are cables helping to support him. His steps look like low gravity.
