Roads Ramp Signals: what’s the protocol or etiquette? I’ve felt when the light turns green, it’s a race before the lane becomes single. Should the left let the right go ahead or vice versa?

PSA New round of Power Saving Bonus is live
Hey all, just a reminder that the newest round of the power saving bonus is live, so go collect your $250.
You can claim the money even if you've done it previously.
You don't even need to change providers to get the money, although you can look around to see if there is a cheaper deal out there for you.
Just thought I'd do what I can to help everyone out.
The link is https://compare.energy.vic.gov.au/ just in case anyone needs it

Opinions/advice needed Where can someone go alone on a random weekday in Melbourne just to chill or pass time
Just feel like getting out of the house, keep having fights with my partner and need to head out somewhere because I don't feel good at all.
However I don't feel like driving to a pitch black mountain or something, don't feel like going to a pub/bar, don't feel like bothering my mates, and don't feel like Maccas lol.
Any suggestions?

PSA Do you know how much more your take-away costs?
If you have the time, can do it safely and are within striking distance, go to your favourite fast food store and pick up your own order. The extra cost of these Uber-eats Menulog mobs is kinda staggering. Buy direct.

THDG Need Help Why are Births Deaths and Marriages so backed up?
I know, covid.... but why 3 years later are Births Deaths and Marriages operating at reduced hours and the physical place is still shut? Why do that when there is increased demand?
I don't have my birth certificate. I need a police check for my job, and for a police check you need a birth certificate (combined with other ID) as ID.
So I applied for a new birth certificate 7 months ago, in September - and submitted my certified ID documents right away.
They still state on their website that the turnaround time is 3 weeks.
I've emailed like 4 times with no response, and I've tried to call but every time I do, the pre-recorded voice says the wait time is longer than the hours they're even operating for (8am-2pm). I'm worried that maybe they've accidentally sent the certificate to an incorrect address or something, but I can't find out.
So the HR lady at my work is covering for me for not having a police check (I have a WWCC) even though she could get in trouble.
I just don't get why such an important government department (I don't know if that's the right word) are not better resourced/better staffed if they've got at least 7 months of applications backed up. Is anyone actually in there? It doesn't seem like their customer service is staffed at all, given I've not heard a word from them in 7 months?!...
